| Q: What kind of authority does Duke Transportation LLC have? A: Duke Transportation has a contract authority. Q: Do you haul less than a trailer load? A: No we do not. If you have a partial you at one location and another partial at another location and a combination of the two or more result in a full trailer load or your partial pays as a full trailer load we can accept the job to transport your load. We will not accept partials that do not pay a rate that equal to a full trailer load. Extra stops are an extra charge. Q: Are all your drivers company drivers? A: No we are a 100% owner operator company. Our owner operators go out of their way to make sure that the customer is happy. At the shipping end and the receiving end our drivers will conduct themselves with the up-most respect possible. If you ever see or hear of one of our drivers being out of line please let us know. We would like to know about it. We hand pick our drivers to ensure that we have the best professional drivers possible to serve your customers. Often the only representation that the customer on the receiving end sees of your company is the driver. We go out of our way to provide 100% customer satisfaction. Q: Do you perform multiple stops and pick ups? A: Yes we do, but at a cost. As stated before we are a 100% owner operator company and we do not pay drivers by the mile. We pay them by the trip. So we do require to be compensated for more than one stop or pick-up. We pass 100% of that charge on to the drivers. It is their time and their equipment, they deserve to be paid for the job they are doing. Q: Do you haul brokered freight? A: Yes we can, and do at times. To be approved you must exchange packages with us and we will determine if we can haul for you or not. We will run a credit check to make sure we can conduct business. Q: Do you haul haz-mat? A: No we do not. We choose not to as the risks are too high. Q: What are your terms for payment on loads that you haul for our company? A: Duke Transportation bills the shipper or broker on the day the load delivers, not the day it is dispatched or the day it is shipped. On the day the load delivers we will invoice your company or brokerage on a NET 30 day term. Payments are expected to be posted within 30 days of invoice. Not 30 days from the time you receive the invoice. If you are consistently late paying your bill we will not haul loads for you any more and we will report you to credit agency's. If you fail to pay the bill in 60 days we will file against your bond or your company if you are a shipper. For more answers to questions or to request for Duke Transportation to haul a load please contact us. We will be glad to serve you. |
